Question:
Is it possible to become pregnant
with a diagnosis of endometriosis?
Answer:
The less severe the endometriosis
in general the better chances of
becoming pregnant. E ndometriosis
is a threat to fertility, but a
diagnosis of endometriosis doesn't
mean that your fertile days are
over.
The majority
of women who have been diagnosed
with endometriosis are still able
to conceive (provided they are childbearing
age and still retain their female
organs, of course). The untreated
disease can cause a woman to be
less and less likely to become pregnant
as time goes on, so a woman with
an endometriosis diagnosis should
not delay pregnancy unneccessarily.
Endometriosis
can threaten fertility and if possible
it would probably be a good idea
to consult a fertility specialist.
